WHO ARE WE?:
 
The Mesivta of Cincinnati, a new Jewish Yeshiva high school opening this fall, was founded to provide students with a superior education in the heart of Cincinnati’s flourishing Torah Jewish community.  The school will offer the serious learner the best possible educational, social and emotional Yeshiva experience in a warm Torah environment – combining Cincinnati’s unique, caring and nurturing community with a high level of learning and great academic standards.  We offer a warm, student-centered environment in which our students will enjoy a rigorous dual curriculum of Judaic and General Studies as well as strong extracurricular sessions and events. We see every student as possessing great potential, and we aim to inspire as well as to educate.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
 
Mesivta of Cincinnati is seeking a dynamic and experienced English Teacher for the 2022-23 school year to teach 1-2 sections of English Language Arts. The teacher will be responsible for 1 section of 10th grade English Language Arts class, with an option to take on a second, 9th grade class if desired.  Qualified applicants will be responsible for attendance, grading, and developing appropriate curricula and assignments in a small classroom environment.  Classes will consist of 45 minute periods between 2:00pm-6:30pm Monday-Thursday, with flexible scheduling available.  Note that Mesivta is a growing school and is adding additional classes each year.  This position has the opportunity to expand into a full four classes in the next two years.  
 
In addition, Candidates must be willing to build a rigorous curriculum that meets the Ohio State Standards for English while conforming to core values and mission of the Mesivta.  
 
 
 
CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
 
We are looking for teachers who approach teaching in an interactive, student-centered way and integrate active participation techniques. 
 
* Bachelor’s degree in Education or some related field and some teaching experience preferred. 
* Background check required
* Standard teaching license not required–as a private school our licensing requirements are different than the public schools and we will work with the right candidate to attain appropriate licensing (bachelor’s degree and background check are all that are needed for license)
