TITLE:                          Administrative Assistant / Assigned to a District

 

QUALIFICATIONS:           

High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years related post high school training desirable but not required
Administrative assistant experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
Demonstrated competency in problem solving, communication, customer service, teamwork, project management, and technology applications, multi-tasking
Ability to assimilate new information and independently learn new tools, software programs and processes
Ability to work within short timelines and meet deadlines
Reliability, punctuality, efficiency, discretion with sensitive data and information
High adaptability and comfortableness with change
 

REPORTS TO:                     Superintendent or Designee

 

JOB SUMMARY:               Performs administrative and office support work for multiple service areas within a team-based work environment. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications, with demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint.
Arranging both in-house and external events, booking rooms/conference facilities and working with presenters and facilitators
Work closely with Treasurer’s office to invoice for professional development events and manage budgets
Manage and maintain accurate budgets
Provide quality service and support for internal and external customers
Create workshop materials
Create and maintain databases
Prepare reports and other materials as needed by individual service areas
Maintain and manage team SharePoint sites and information / data contained therein
Perform daily support functions such as drafting and/or finalizing correspondence, ordering materials, and staff support
Manage messages, phone calls, meeting schedules, customer interactions
Perform other duties as assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Shall be appointed to a limited contract with the number of work days established by the employment contract.  Salary to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy.
