Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field and two (2) years related experience working with emotionally/behaviorally/mentally disturbed children in group care preferred; or
A Master’s degree from an accredited school of Social Work or a Master’s Degree in human services field and one (1) year experience working with emotionally/behaviorally/mentally disturbed children in group care preferred.
Some supervisory experience preferred as well as experience in developing and engaging in individual, group, and family therapies; some experience working with sexually aggressive youth desired.
Excellent writing skills.
Computer literacy and ability to utilize an electronic time and attendance system, electronic medical records system, various software, word processing, and spreadsheet programs. Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must achieve and maintain Teaching Family Model Certification.
Implement and adhere to the principles and philosophies of the Teaching Family Model.
Must pass Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training which requires mastery of de-escalation techniques, crisis prevention and physical restraint techniques used on youth and adolescents.
Must have the ability to remain alert, observant and physically able to respond appropriately to work situations or emergencies including, but not limited to physical restraint of youth.
 
 
 
Role Expectations:
The Program Manager will manage group specialists and be responsible for the overall coordination and evaluation of the day treatment program.
Maintain staffing schedules and ratios in a manner that ensures the safety and well- being of clients.
He/she will also carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures (i.e.: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Set and maintain adherence to agency Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures (OGSM) for day treatment program and all staff supervised.
The DT Program Manager must demonstrate responsibility for maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly treatment environment by recognizing that his/her behavior impacts children and staff and be willing to examine and modify interventions independently and in response to supervision. 
He/she will demonstrate sound clinical knowledge of the therapeutic process evidenced through effective interventions and problem resolution. 
The Program Manager must also report ALL client complaints to the Client Rights Officer; when directed, he/she will take corrective action as needed.  With this considered, the Program Manager must understand the client grievance process and be able to communicate that process clearly to clients.
Be able to implement and adhere to the principles and philosophies of the Teaching Family Model.
Observe, teach and model the Teaching Family Model to staff and clients.
Ensure that program operations are safe, efficient, and effective.
Oversee compliance to agency, ODMHAS, CARF and policies, procedures and guidelines.
Manage budget so that expenses do not exceed 90% of projected for fiscal year.
Manage personnel concerns in a timely, effective manner.
Lead regular team meetings for group specialist staff.
Attend regular supervision meetings with Day Treatment Clinical Coordinator
Attend weekly clinical team meetings to help coordinate treatment and interventions for clients
Fully participate in training, consultation and review of TFM.
Transport clients in personal or agency vehicle as needed.
