Position Requirements:
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) from an accredited college in social work, counseling, psychology or a related mental health field. Must be a LSW or LPC; LISW or LPCC is preferred.
Must be qualified to provide counseling, psychotherapy, family therapy and related services to child/adolescent populations.
Experience: A minimum of five years experience working with mentally ill youth and their families of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds is preferred. Highly motivated, flexible, independent, excellent communication skills, ability to engage difficult youth and their families, and knowledge of social systems required.
Therapist is required to have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, own vehicle with vehicle liability insurance. 
Must be 21 years of age or older. 
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear
 Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Experience with working with children and adolescents 3 years old and up.

​Job Goals:
Provide individual and family therapy services to outpatient clients and families. 
Complete Diagnostic Assessments of Functioning (DAFs) as assigned. 
Develop a treatment plan by first session after of the child’s admission to services.
Update treatment plan according to agency guidelines (typically every six months) or earlier if needed. 
Engage parents and family members in treatment, providing psychoeducational information about nurturing and behavior management.
Complete and submit all documentation in a timely manner, including but not limited to assessments, individualized service plan, DAF updates, progress reports, and termination/transfer report. 
Update client paperwork (e.g., releases of information, consent to treat) biannually or annually per agency policy. 
Collect all necessary outcome data needed to evaluate services.
Attend all required St. Aloysius staff training or meetings, including but not limited to the initial orientation, supervision, quarterly booster trainings, and any other training or meeting deemed valuable to add to skills necessary to implement high quality service to youth and families. 
Demonstrate willingness to collaborate effectively with agency partners involved in treatment planning for youth and family. 
Keep personal license/certification/registration current. 
Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding reporting of abuse, intent to harm, and other life-threatening situations. 
Adhere to agency confidentiality rules.
Perform other duties, as assigned by supervisor.
