Ohr Torah Cincinnati (OTC) in Cincinnati, Ohio is an independent Jewish school serving toddlers through eighth grade. We focus on fostering and infusing a true love for learning in all that we do across all subject areas and throughout every aspect of the children’s day. Specifically, we provide a carefully planned, stimulating, and structured learning environment with an integrated, robust curriculum across and within Judaic and General Studies. POSITION SUMMARY:
Ohr Torah Cincinnati is searching for a passionate Physical Education teacher.  Primary responsibilities include planning and implementing weekly activities and instruction to students in grades K – 8. Necessary skills include knowledge of developmentally appropriate expectations for each age group and an ability to focus on building skills that promote mature and healthy physical development, greater flexibility, and increased agility. Most importantly, we are looking for candidates that have an understanding of and responsiveness to the emotional and social needs of students at this age. This is a part-time position requiring one day a week or 5-7 hours a week.
 
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
·      Prior experience as a coach or PE/wellness instructor.
·      Knowledge of physical education programs.
·      CPR and First Aid certification required but will be provided or updated through OTC if necessary.
·      Effective planning and communication skills.
·      Basic understanding of a child’s physical, social, emotional development.
An appreciation for the uniqueness of each child, embracing their strengths and challenges with care and dignity, while maintaining a calm and respectful demeanor and positive upbeat attitude.
Ability to take direction well.
