Computer/Network Technician

General Job Description:

The Computer/Network Technician will assist the Information Technology department in the ongoing programs and plans to support the use of technology and the computer network system at the Warren County Career Center.  The Computer/Network Technician will work in such a manner to ensure the best education possible for all students attending the Warren County Career Center and its various locations around Warren County.
 
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
 Diagnose and repair problems that arise with computer hardware, software, network connections and all associated peripherals
Install and support Microsoft Windows desktop computers, laptops, and servers
Install and support Cisco, HP/Aruba, Aerohive, and Ubiquiti network equipment
Install and repair copper Ethernet network cabling
Support the District’s Chromebook 1:1 program
Assist in the administration of various District-wide technology systems, including VMware vSphere, Avaya IP Office phone system, Aerohive wireless, and Veeam backup
Perform yearly maintenance during the summer to WCCC desktops and laptops located at the Main Campus and all other locations around Warren County
Help train users in the use of the various technology resources available to them
 
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
CompTIA A+ certification
CompTIA Network+ certification is desired
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
Familiarity with Ethernet technologies
Willingness to work in both a team and independent environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational and technology skills
Must pass a criminal background check
Must hold a valid Ohio Driver’s License

Terms of Employment:

Monday-Friday Days
Salary Scale for this position is:  $19.16-$27.29 per hour
