Career Technical Lab Assistant/Teacher Aide-up to 28 hours per week

Career Technical Laboratory Assistant-part time-2 open positions (could be placed in Graphic Design,  Carpentry, Heavy Equipment, Early Childhood Education, Landscaping etc)

Location:            

Warren County Career Center
Part-time, Schedule may vary depending upon career-technical classroom
Not to exceed 28 hours per week

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in related area preferred
Holds credential for designated career-technical laboratory (preferred)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational and technology skills
Hold a valid Ohio Educator’s licensure or permit (or be willing to obtain)
Must pass a criminal background check
Hold a valid Ohio Driver’s License
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Assist small groups of students in career technical laboratory/related classroom
Assist in preparation of instructional materials and processes for laboratory activities
Assist in keeping student attendance and performance records
Assist in maintaining inventory of instructional materials and equipment and perform minor maintenance of equipment
Attend field trips related to the assigned career-technical laboratory setting
Assist in program orientation for new students
Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Ability to administer basic first aid
Notify teacher if student is not meeting classroom goals
Act as a substitute teacher during the absence of the regular teacher, if qualified

Reports to:                           Director of Secondary Education
Starting date:                       To be determined
Salary and work schedule:  $14.85-$18.00 depending on experience
                                             Monday-Friday between 7:30-2:00
