We are seeking Intervention Specialists for the 2023-24 school year at multiple grade levels. Qualified candidates will have an Intervention Specialist license, Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Intensive.
Intervention Specialists employed by WCS will receive the necessary training in understanding Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs), writing compliant IEPs, ideas on how to efficiently and effectively monitor progress, and how to utilize ProgressBook to create IEPs/Progress Monitoring.
In addition to this support, WCS is working towards being a Trauma Informed School that focuses on relationships and resiliency within our employees and students. Currently, staff members are being trained in restorative practices to help build a sense of community, belonging, and interconnectedness. This work also aligns with the district’s overall climate goal of Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports.
