Wilmington Middle School is hiring a Dean of Students. Qualified candidates must have a current teaching license and will be paid on the teacher salary schedule and calendar plus 10 additional days. The Dean of Students is a key member of the school climate and security team, charged with building effective systems to create a positive school culture, a well-disciplined school environment, and to support a positive home-to-school connection. The Dean of Students supports student discipline by managing the Positive Behavior Interventions and working closely with mental health providers on behalf of students and families. Through language, actions, and decisions, the Dean of Students demonstrates the belief that all students can learn at a high level and maintains an unwavering focus on results.
