Mechanic

2023/2024 School Year

·         Reports to: Director of Transportation

·         BCI & FBI background checks required

 

Minimum Responsibilities

·  Performing all Preventative Maintenance on school bus fleet, consisting of diesel and gasoline school buses with air brakes 

·  Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision using diagnostic computers

·  Complete needed repairs and parts replacements with documentation of completed work

·  Assist with driving duties if needed

 

Essential Qualifications

·  2 years experience preferred in vehicle maintenance and/or repair

·  High school diploma or equivalent required

·  Must possess, or be willing to obtain a class B CDL license with school bus and passenger endorsements

·  Must be able to pass criminal background checks, BMV check, DOT Drug Test, and physical

·  Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds.
