Elementary Long-Term Substitute Teacher (mid-October through December)

Springer School and Center seeks qualified candidates for a long-term substitute teaching position from mid-October through December. This position teaches reading, math, literature and science in a self-contained classroom of roughly 12 fourth and fifth grade students. Teachers are supported by a full-time Instructional Assistant as well as an interdisciplinary team consisting of the other classroom teachers, a speech pathologist, occupational therapist, school psychologist, and counselor. Qualified candidates will have experience working with students diagnosed with learning disabilities such as dyslexia as well as an understanding of the importance that the role relationship-building plays in the learning process.
