    Job Trainer
    The Hamilton County Educational Service Center has a part time opening for a Job Trainer/Job Coach for the 2020-2021 school year.  The position supports students with disabilities, by helping them to explore careers and develop job skills while working in community based sites.
    QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED
    Prefer a varied work background and volunteer experiences.
    Must enjoy working with young adults.
    Must possess valid driver’s license and vehicle operated legally according to Ohio law.          Must also be willing to transport  students in own vehicle (training will be provided).


   Meet the Transition to Work Coordinator and student’s classroom teacher; learn and demonstrate       understanding of each job, student individual learning/training needs.
   Must be able to travel to various locations on a daily basis.  If transporting students, must complete     and maintain all qualifications for Ohio Van Driver’s License (ODE rules).
   Assist the worker in learning all job tasks.
   Break down job tasks and offer supports/modifications with the assistance of the Transition to             Work Coordinator and classroom teachers.
   Learn and demonstrate specific coaching skills as well as the ability to fade support to foster                 independence.
   Serve as a liaison between the supervisors on the job, the student and the school team.
   Identify and help establish natural supports on the job site.
   Supervise student on the job at all times and follow written, approved fade out plan.
   Communicate worker’s progress to the Transition to Work Coordinator, Teacher and employer (if       appropriate).
   Keep data sheets on worker progress or issues.
   Discuss modifications attempted and results of these modifications.
   Discuss anticipated plan and direction of training with the Transition to Work Coordinator.
   Provide suggestions and input regarding worker training to the Transition to Work Coordinator or       Teacher. 
   Keep accurate records of service delivery for purposes of billing student’s school district, mileage         reimbursement forms, and time sheets; turn in these documents in a timely manner.
   Participate in meetings regarding the student as requested.
   Maintains student confidentiality, providing only information to authorized persons.
