Educational Audiologist 
 
The Hamilton County Educational Service Center has an anticipated opening for a part time/part time casual Educational Audiologist.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution. Ohio certification in the area of School Audiology and Ohio License in Audiology from the Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Must be able to travel to various locations on a daily basis

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide record review, screening, and diagnostic assessments to assist in the identification of students, ages three through twenty-one years of age, with a suspected hearing loss.
2. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide written and verbal interpretation of audiological assessment results and suggestions to educational team members and key stakeholders.
3. Provide information for (re)habilitative activities such as proper amplification use and maintenance, listening skill development, auditory training and speech reading for students with hearing loss.
4. Provide guidance in the provision and management of accommodations and essential Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT) for improving student access to auditory instruction.
5. Serve as a collaborative trainer and consultant with school personnel and other appropriate persons (including student and family) regarding hearing loss, educational management, acoustic modifications, HAT, and other specific needs of the student in relation to his/her hearing loss.
6. Select, evaluate, and fit classroom amplification based on the knowledge of current options and their benefits/limitations, including HAT.
7. Ensure that all amplification is working properly and effectively through direct instruction to students and the inservicing of school personnel on its use, limitations, and specific troubleshooting techniques.
8. Appropriately implement rules and regulations in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
9. Maintain records of all evaluations, assessments, and HAT/auditory equipment.
10. Participate in professional development to stay current in evidence-based practices, licensure, and improve job performance.
11. Be cognizant of and adhere to HCESC policies, procedures, and deadlines.
12. Manage the workload needed for each unique assignment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned
