School Improvement Consultants
The Hamilton County Educational Service has anticipated openings for the 2023-2024 school year:Resumes will be accepted until the filled.
To serve as a resource, collaborator, consultant and partner to school districts by providing services and leadership in the following areas: Intensive and sustained support for improvement, standards-based education, program assessment and evaluation, strategies for effective instruction, curriculum design, development, implementation and evaluation, staff development, leadership and facilitation in school improvement initiatives, statewide legislative and Ohio Department of Education mandates and initiatives.
Recent classroom teaching experience. Valid Ohio Supervisor and/or Administrator license/certificate required. Experience in successful school-wide projects, comprehensive school reform and/or teaching/learning strategies. Demonstrated skills and leadership in curriculum, instruction and assessment, project management, team leadership, cross-functional teams, strong communication and interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and ability to get things done.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Facilitate curriculum design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
Align work to the specific components of the school improvement initiatives and/or assignments.
Assist districts and schools in analyzing data for the data-driven decision making.
Provide instructional and curriculum leadership for program development in academic content area based on standards.
Preview, introduce and present quality programs, resources, and strategies for effective instruction.
Assist teachers in the improvement of instructional strategies through model teaching, coaching and/or mentoring.
Assist school with development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of continuous improvement plans.
Provide leadership to HCESC or HCESC/district partnership projects.
Work closely with principals and lead teachers to improve the quality of instruction.
Work with school and district personnel to build capacity to design and implement short cycle assessments.
Promote sharing of innovative and successful instructional resources and strategies among educators.
Participate as a member of organizational, center, and cross-center project teams as appropriate or assigned.
Actively seek input from identified customers to determine short- and long-range goals, objectives, and staff/student needs.
Assume responsibility for maintaining professional currency in appropriate areas of education.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Center Director.
