Anticipated Position Announcement
Full Time Occupational Therapist 

The Hamilton County Educational Service Center has an anticipated full time opening for the position of Occupational Therapist for the 2021-2022 school year.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or institution:  A valid license in Occupational Therapy from the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board and a license/certificate or eligible for a license/ certificate from the Ohio Department of Education.  Must be able to travel to various locations on a daily basis.

1. Provide screenings, evaluations and interventions to support students in the school environment.  

2. Develop, implement and manage goals for individual educational programs for students based on team input.

 3. Communicate and collaborate with other educational team members, including teachers, administrators, parents, outside agencies and medical specialists regarding the status of the individual students, and the occupational therapy program.
  4. Appropriately implement rules and regulations in accordance with district, state and federal guidelines.
  5.Maintain policies and procedures of the Hamilton County Educational Service Center.
  6.Participate in professional development to stay current in “best practice” techniques, maintain    licensure and improve job performance.
  7.Utilize good body mechanics, physical strength and mobility during expected and required movement activities with children to include lifting and moving children, demonstrating requested activities (i.e. jumping, running, hopping, crawling, lifting and managing materials, etc.), wheel chair transfers to a variety of surfaces, moving up and down from the floor, using, moving and managing adaptive equipment and material.
  8.Manage the workload of each unique assignment.
