Instructional Technology Consultant


The Hamilton County Educational Service Center has a full time opening for the position of Instructional Technology Consultant to begin during the 2021-2022 school year.  Resumes will be accepted until close of business on June 15, 2021.



To design, develop and deliver K-12 instructional technology and e-learning projects and services, and demonstrate, in collaboration with HCESC colleagues, leadership in the use of technology for learning, leadership to school building educators and districts in collaboration with HCESC colleagues.



1.           Master’s degree or beyond is preferred with course concentration in the area of educational technology also preferred.

Valid Ohio Certificate in Supervision preferred.
Previous experience teaching and/or coordinating programs in educational technology.
In depth knowledge of the many diverse technology options, instructional strategies, and materials appropriate for the integration of technology into the classroom environment.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to students, teachers, and administrators in planning for, implementing and evaluating the effective use of distance learning instructional technology.
Proven capability to foster cooperative efforts among educators, colleagues, outside agencies, and the community.


Design, develop, implement, and evaluate products and services to ensure the effective integration of curriculum and technology.
Provide professional development and consultation on the effective integration of technology.
Develop, in collaboration with Hamilton County consultants, effective services for technology integration.
Work collaboratively with districts to improve the quality of instruction through the planning and use of technology.
Introduce and help implement exemplary instructional technology programs, resources, and strategies.
Promote sharing of innovative and successful instructional resources and strategies among educators in collaboration with other HCESC consultants.
Research trends and recommend “best practice” in educational technology across all instructional areas.
Develop, implement and/or maintain a system to ensure a successful district support for the integration of technology as an instructional tool.

Develop and/or support procedures for selection and acquisition of instructional technology software, materials and supplies.
Assume responsibility for maintaining current skills and knowledge in appropriate areas of expertise.
Serve as a collaborative team member of the HCESC staff.
Assist participating districts and Hamilton County Educational Service Center in the auditing of their current program, and the evaluation and revision of their technology plans.
Serve as active contributor to Technology Leaders Council and other cooperative or state groups as assigned.
Serve as a liaison with outside agencies, universities, and neighboring school districts.


Salary as per current salary schedule.
